Fables & Tables 2013 Postponed
Our annual Fables & Tables event has been postponed to a later date. In the meantime, we continue to focus on the emergent needs of the underserved in our community. We look forward to celebrating our successes with you.
EVENT SUMMARY ~ Interfaith Works Fables & Tables is quickly becoming one of the region’s top events, drawing more than 1,000 attendees for a community-wide fundraising event. Based on the Empty Bowls grassroots model, the basic premise is simple: potters and other craftspeople from the community create handcrafted bowls for the event. Guests are invited to a humble meal of soup and bread, and at the end of the evening, keep a bowl as a reminder that, even in such an affluent area, hunger and homelessness are still present in our community.
EXPECTED ATTENDANCE ~ 1200 attendees, including: elected officials, congregation leaders, corporate heads, families, and other county friends
